Things should be getting nice and soft and puddly after all this wet stuff.
Maybe a couple of fast UVic Alumni chip-trail loops followed by a poke about the grounds of our new Leftenant Governor ("Jane with a T" Austin, OBE) on the way to coffee? Other ideas?
Can you see any sweet new trails from up there, Johnny Tyre?

Are fenders required for cx rides?
Re: Friday, November 2 - Pride & Prejudice
Only if you want to protect yourself from splashback.

Planning to join you for the ride out to UVic but will continue on to Ten Mile Point, Mystic Vale etc. If all goes according to plan. See you dark and early!

Thanks for the ride everyone!

Thanks for trying us out, Justine. We lingered a bit long in the woods, meaning only Alan and I made coffee (around 7:37). Normally we try to get back to James Bay a little earlier.
I'm not sure if you've been riding early-morning cross rides much, but as possible newcomers, I'm curious how both you and Steve W. found the ride: pace, route, communication, frequency of regroups/foot-downs etc.? Any tips on how we could improve the experience or make it more welcoming...?
