Gift Ideas?

Post by waverider »

Hi all,

I'm looking for ideas for a cycling related retirement gift for someone who does not cycle..

I have a colleague who is retiring shortly. She's an extremely avid cycling fan, often travelling across the country (Montreal usually) to volunteer or watch the pro events each year. First one on site, last to leave, cheering until she's hoarse. She's a lot of fun.
It's been a number of years since she's actually cycled herself and she would not be getting back into it. So equipment related ideas won't work.

Can anyone think of a gift idea? I'll bring them forward to the group of us who are deciding what to get her.

Thanks,
Geoff

How about a bicycle necklace, something like the one in the photo? My kids gave me one for Christmas a year ago and I love it.

Fixie pizza cutter?

I have one. It doesn't cut pizza very well. But it's a fixie!

Thanks for the suggestions. I ended up getting outvoted in favour of a gift certificate.

But it was fun looking for various ideas. Cheers.
