Hi all;
Once again Tripleshot has been invited to set up our tent at the MEC Bikefest, in recognition of our role as Victoria's "community" cycling club. It's a great opportunity to publicize the club and tell people what we're all about.
The event runs from 9:00am-5:00pm on Saturday, May 2nd. MEC has received permission from the City to block off Government Street between Pandora and Johnson and will be hosting the event both in store and out front. The Tripleshot juniors have also been invited to set up their "Triple Clean" bike-washing service, with all proceeds to go the club.
So, what we need are volunteers to help man the Tripleshot tent during the day. The last few years we've done this in shifts of 2-3hrs, so let's say we'll need about 8 people. I will also need at least two people to help me set up the tent before the event.
If you can give us a few hours of your time it would be greatly appreciated - please reply below.
Thanks,
John
P.S. For more info on the event go to http://events.mec.ca/event/39646/mec-bi ... toria-2015

I'd happily stand around and tell strangers about how awesome Tripleshot is and why they should get up dark and early with us; I do it all the time!
Put me down for 2-3 hours, anytime after 1:00 p.m.

Throw me in. Don't mind the morning shift, and enjoy the reaction on people's faces when I tell them we ride at six!

I'm in, as long as I can share a shift with Steve Lund, so we can discuss art, poetry and his Strava obsession that keeps mystifying all of us. Like MEC bikefests in the past, I'll bring my unicycle and juggling balls, in case there is a boring moment...

I'm in as well.

To ensure we present a harmonious front to the general public, may I suggest you pair me with Alan, in place of Steve?
I also have a unicycle and I'm looking for tutelage from the one-wheel master...

This is random, but Alan, do you still have my old unicycle? I just can't remember where it went, and I wanted to check.
I've got an obnoxious helmet. It's green.
Re: Tripleshot at the MEC Bikefest - volunteers needed
John, what time do I show up for duty and where do I go?
Re: Tripleshot at the MEC Bikefest - volunteers needed
This is what I have so far. Lister has enlisted the parents of the juniors (and some of the juniors themselves) to help fill some other slots, but we could still use a few more people as well. The juniors will also be running a bike-wash station.
