Last week we had no takers. Even with the roads dry and temperatures reasonable.

How about if we do this: unless we see four roughly speed compatible folks post here, maybe we should have a break, eat more Christmas cake and build up fat and will to start again after Christmas?

I will be making the early morning pilgrimage to UVic tomorrow morning. Hopefully I am not alone, as that will make for a pretty lonely team time trial.

See you there. Ive been sick the last couple days, so no promises on horsepower. And I think Erin's coming, who may shred us all. God help us.

Sorry, woke up feeling crappy again. Didn't want my immenant death on your hands. Hope it went well.

Only Erin and I to start. Rich arrive along with Keith K. By the end of the first 5 lap set, just Rich and I with Rich pulling 1.7 K and me .2 K!

Then Blair and Peter L arrived for set 2 and 3. The pace increased from about 3:15 per lap to 3:05. I just managed to hang on with Peter Blair & Rich. I spent lots of quality time at the back!

I think it worked out well. I'll be making this a regular part of my training program. See you next week!

I finally managed to rouse myself out on a Thurs morn let alone any morning since mid Dec cold weather that set in.

Like Barton said about 4 of us that grew to eventually 6 participants. I wish I had my time trial bike instead of road bike. (everyone else had road bikes of course) But I need that bike to at least attempt to hang given only 4 or so much faster riders than me!

Just to let you b- or C riders out there, I did get a good workout starting off with the group of 4, and my goal wasn't to get lapped. I managed to finished the 3rd set (4 laps for me) without getting lapped. about 15 mins - 4 laps (3:45 a lap) - no break all by myself, controlled HR at 145, pushing my thighs when I felt tired, and at my grand old age of 54 the effort is about 75% max or 10% below my threshold. A very good top end zone 3 workout. I can tell you I did feel my upper ham to butt was worked out.

If any of you other C/B- riders want to come out and join with me, that would be great!

Sorry for not going for coffee guys I will join you next week! I really missed this course having done it last fall about 4x.
