Re: New Price! For sale: fizik saddles
Can you provide the width? 143 or 146?? Thanks
Re: New Price! For sale: fizik saddles
Nowhere close: at its widest, the Arione is all of 132 mm wide. But it is 300mm long. That's got to count for something!
Seriously though, important considerations are your sit bone width, flexibility (i.e. pelvis tilt), design preferences (thick, padded nose; cutout; saddle shape) and time on the saddle.
I love these saddles: they are board flat along their length (as opposed to scallop shaped like the Selle Italia Flite), they're grippy, the length allows room to move forward or back to change position while climbing or hammering and they're beautiful on any bike. Unfortunately, they are somewhat wedge shaped in width and I've returned to my tried and true Selle Italia SLRs.
Lots of great saddle-related comments here:

among them Emile's insightful thoughts, including about the length of time (100 km in my case or entire seasons for others) necessary to determine if a saddle really fits.
