Re: Kind and Gentle Sufferfest Saturday
Peter - if you join Matt and I (and hopefully others) on the altered, more hilly route, I would say the forecast is mild, with a 30% chance of attacks (at least on the flat portions). Since we will be regrouping after each climb, you can ride your own chosen pace on the slopes. Since I have to be ho...

Re: Saturday Hills
See you at 6.00 for some true suffering! I think the plan is to regroup after each climb, if anybody is worried about being dropped (like me).

Normal Saturday ride
Who's in for the usual 3 hour Saturday ride? I'm open to a change in route to something more hilly (Munn Road?), but don't have time for the mountain madness ride (plus I hate the Malahat traffic!). Or, we can just do the usual Saturday route....

Re: Metchosin Masters Road Race
I'll second that Marcus - Kim, Joe and all the volunteers put on an excellent race - thank you all. I'd like to complement Greg Miller and Mat Baker for excellent performances in the 30's group. Mat won the 30's group with his strong climbing and overall great riding, and Greg was second in the 35-3...

Re: Metchosin Masters Road Race, Sunday
Are there any other 40's age group TSers racing tomorrow? I'm hoping that there will be a group of us with similar abilities (ie not able to hang on to people like Steve Bachop). If so, I think we would be wise to stick together on the tough hill and then keep a fast pace line going, rather than get...

Re: Metchosin Masters Road Race, Sunday
Hi Marcus - I'll be there to race. I expect a great deal of suffering at the hands of the 40's group. Last time I rode it in 2009 I was dropped on the steep climb on the first lap. I have a sick feeling the same will occur this time. Oh well - it will be an adventure!
