📣 Tripleshot is Getting a New Website and Forum! 💻 📱 📝

Hi Fellow Club Members!

Tripleshot is getting a new website and Forum for better Club communications amongst our membership and the general cycling community! We understand there is a lot of love (and dis-love) of our previous website and Forum but believe the change in hosting platforms is a positive step in improving our Club communications.

This Friday, 27 January, the club will be switching over the https://www.tripleshotcycling.ca/ With this new website and Forum we will be able to have:
- A store to take payment for events, or items! (No more email money transfers);
- A new, secure and modern webpage / Forum with better mobile UI elements; and
- Easy ownership for the board and changing admins.

Below is some extra info along with a few quick and common questions that may be asked.
- Where are we moving: The website / Forum will be moving to Wix.com, an online website building and hosting platform;
- Why are we moving?: The main reasons to move is to use a platform that can easily be co-owned by many people and can swap ownership, has an integrated and secure store for payments, and has a great tooling to help make the mobile side of our website usable. We also hope that there can be some improved communications through the new website via the new Forum;
- What will happen to the old Forum data? It is very difficult to move from one Forum to another. We will lose this history. We are working with Roland to have a backup of the current Forum but overall it will be started anew;
- What do I need to do? If you would like to comment on the new Forums, you will need to create an account on the new website. You can still read it regardless;
- How to best view the new website and Forum? The new website is best viewed via desk top or tablet; however; the new Forum is best viewed via either desk top, tablet, or mobile!;
- Will this or can this replace Spond? No, the simple functionality of repetitive events and groups doesn't exist in Wix, or not easily at least;
- If I have questions or concerns, who can I contact? The website administration is done currently by Logan Porelle and Geoff Pye. But of course you can raise concerns to any Board Member. We will slowly bring other folks on to write blogs, help maintain the website and so forth as time goes on.
