Renewing Cycling BC membership is part of the harmonized CCN process — as Cycling BC is currently reviewing both their fee structure and annual budget, and finalizing a revised proposal reflecting members’ feedback ahead of a second vote to amend the 2023 Membership Licence Fees between 16-27 December 2022; licenses are now available for purchase until 15 January 2023 at 2022 pricing. However, unlike previous years, no early bird rates will be applied. The "Cycling for All" licence is the most basic and affordable (reg. $80).
Remember when registering, to select which Spond subgroups you want to be in. This will help to make your Spond invitations and notifications more relevant. You can otherwise change your Spond subgroups any time by contacting our Club Secretary (Geoff Pye) or any other Spond Group Manager: http://www.tripleshotcycling.ca/club-info/key-contacts
In a couple of months, we are going to clean house and start deleting non-2023 member Spond profiles. You’ll have plenty of warning and opportunity to renew before we do!
Tripleshot sponsors a youth development program that is headed by senior coach Lister Farrar with assistance from youth coaches, parents, and others. The program currently involves about 30 riders aged 10-20. Tripleshot provides a few thousand dollars of annual support for coaching, which leverages additional support from a BC Gaming Grant and other contributors and sponsors. We are currently working to develop a model that will enable the program to become self-sustaining, but in the meantime, we can always use additional funds to support our coaching needs and the associated costs with assisting our youth riders to travel to regional, provincial, and national events. Please consider making a generous donation when you complete your TSC club registration and let's make sure our Youth Program continues to grow and excel!

The TS board has learned that if you pay for CBC and TS membership renewal RIGHT NOW at 2022 prices (e.g. $80+$30) — in advance of the current CBC vote result and implementation — it means a few things, depending on how the vote goes.
If Option 1 wins, you will NOT then have to pay an additional amount to cover the member-approved increase (e.g. $13 for Cycling for All).
If Option 2 wins, you will experience the same insurance reduction as people who only renew after the vote. However, CBC will offer the option of purchasing 'training only' insurance to bridge the coverage gap for an additional $20. CBC is working through the implications further to find a way to limit the impact of an Option 2 win on those members who purchase their membership now, expecting 24/7 insurance.
The short story is that there is a possible discount and no real downside if you renew your TS/CBC memberships BEFORE the vote concludes next Tuesday, Dec. 27.
