Tripleshot youth alumnus Sarah Van Dam has been invited to the UCI champions League, a series of five pro meets in November and December, featuring select stars of the world championships in October. The meets are in Majorca, Berlin, Paris, and London.

And Cycling Canada announced today they are auctioning the riders bikes after the Champions League, with proceeds to the rider’s development clubs. Let your friends with deep pockets know. Would be cool to see Sarah’s bike displayed in Victoria. .

This is a new thing I think. I don’t recall development clubs being mentioned related to national team riders before.

I just caught the elimination race.... it's not good for my heart, so stressful to watch. Good ride from Sarah and Maggie... not sure what their strategy was, maybe they just ran out of gas?

I thought I saw Sarah trying to stay more up front, Vs going over the top each sprint. As Chris Hoy said, an absolutely stacked field. So yes, I’d say legs ran out at the end. But 21 years Vs 27 for Valente, perhaps to be expected.

Still, Sarah’s in fifth overall endurance going into Berlin.

Ps, Sarah’s frame already has a qualified bid, so $5000 for TS, and three weekend to go. Tell yer rich friends.
