Just an FYI. West Burnside Rd. is now closed 24/7 between Meadowpark Lane (down towards Watkiss Way) and Prospect Lk Rd. for road construction. Local traffic only. The expected re-opening date is Sept. 16th.
According to information sent to area residents, the re-paving project will extend to Charlton Road but that may be a second phase of the project.
The good news is that PLR will likely be a LOT quieter and more bike-friendly for the Summer You'll likely want to access PLR from another point.
I rode through today and chatted with the traffic control folks.
For the next month (maybe longer) you can only access Prospect Lk Rd via West Burnside from the Helmcken Road end. After that first phase is done, you'll be able to access PLR only from the Watkiss Way end of West Burnside. So access to PLR will stay open from West Burnside through construction, but only from one direction at a time.
You'll likely want to access PLR from another point.
