Good Afternoon All!
With the wonderful news announced this past weekend that the city of Victoria has listen to our advocacy, the BHP Stop sign was reverted to a Yield sign this morning!
This means the return of BHP laps at the end of Tuesday & Friday road rides.
It’s been sometime since we conducted multiple laps of BHP; therefore below is an updated summary of the Tuesday and Friday laps which will be in effect starting tomorrow!
Tuesday Rides
* A1 / A2
- 4 laps of the box (sprinting on laps 2 and 4)
followed by 5 laps of BHP (with the final lap
ending at the petting zoo)
* B1 / B2 / B3
- 4 laps of the box (sprinting on laps 2 and 4)
followed by 4 laps of BHP (with the final lap
ending at the petting zoo)
* C
- laps of UVIC followed by laps of BHP (riders call
on number of laps, (with the final lap ending at
the petting zoo)
Friday Rides
* No more climbing (or laps) up to box on Fridays.
Which as Ben Moore so eloquently and accurately
put it… was a special kind of hell that we’ll gladly
do without!

- 5 laps of BHP (with the final lap ending at the
petting zoo)
* B1 / B2 / B3
- 4 laps of BHP (with the final lap ending at the
petting zoo)
* C
- laps of BHP (riders call on number of laps, with
the final lap ending at the petting zoo)
Remember- please be kind and courteous to fellow riders as BHP will be busier than many members have experienced. To ensure a safe ride for all, take extra caution (especially in the vicinity of Dallas Road and Camas Circle) and neutralize sprints while passing throughout.
As the club has grown since the last time we conducted multiple laps of BHP- we'll revisit things depending on congestion issues.
The Tuesday and Friday Spond road ride descriptions will be update shortly to reflect the changes.
