🛥🛥🛥🚴‍♀️🚴🙌

An annual club favourite, the Three Ferries Ride will be held on Sunday, 22 May! We will roll out in staggered groups (with the slowest taking the first pull) from Cook Street Starbucks at 7:00, catching the 9:00 ferry to Salt Spring Island. A designated ride leader for each peloton will purchase the ferry tickets for their entire group and the Club will reimburse them.

This ride is intended to be unsupported, with a stop in Ganges Village for a bite to eat and coffee before rolling out and onto the Vesuvius ferry to Crofton. Please bring any other snacks that you need for the day.

The Vesuvius ferry is at 12:05 and the Mill Bay sailings to Brentwood Bay are at 3:00 (or 4:10 depending on how many ice cream stops your group elects to make). Tickets for the Mill Bay ferry can be purchased at Thrifty Foods in Mill Bay or onboard the ferry (by the designated ride leader for each peloton).

Spond signups for each peloton will open this upcoming Sunday at 7:00pm!

If you haven't done this ride before and you're curious, here's last year's ride video:

The vibe is like an extended Sunday Social, with more stops for coffee, ice cream, and taking in the view.

** Update **

Good Evening Club Members!

Below is a short update on our upcoming Three Ferries Ride this Sunday!!

Lunch:
Urban Grocer, one of our amazing Club sponsors, has graciously offered to support this year's Three Ferries Ride and will provide lunch for 40 riders in Ganges on beautiful Salt Spring Island!

The lunch will be at their Country Grocer Store at 374 Lower Ganges Road (located here, just past "downtown" as you come from the south https://goo.gl/maps/geWayRxWmMqTuShd6). Their team in Ganges will have tables set up with food/drink at the end of the Country Grocery plaza near the liquor store (right-hand side of the building when you are looking at it from Lower Ganges Road). The area is roof-covered in case of inclement weather.

They expect us to arrive at the store between 1015 and 1045 and that we will stay for 45 minutes to an hour for lunch as we anticipate catching the 1205 ferry to Crofton (only a 6km or approximately 20 minute ride from the store.)

Potential lunch offerings may include sandwich trays, fruit/vegetable trays, meat/cheese trays, sports drinks, water refill, snacks (potato chips, bars, nuts, energy bars, bananas, etc.) which we can take at the end of lunch and stuff in our cycling jerseys for the remainder of the ride.

Ferry Tickets:
Group ride leaders will distribute some ferry tickets already held by the club at the meetup on Sunday morning. The designated ride leader for each group will purchase any further required ferry tickets for you and the Club will reimburse them.

Waitlist:
There will be room for those riders currently on the waitlist, with a cap of no more than 40 riders among all three groups. We recommend that all rider numbers be as balanced as possible across the three ride groups.

Weather:
The weather has significantly improved for Sunday, calling for mainly sunny/blue skies (11hrs of sunshine, light winds, nil precipitation 🤞), highs of 19 degrees and lows of 15 degrees!
