Huge thanks to Bruce ? who took care of the registration, and to Bruce Falk and Patrick Burnham, who dealt with lap counting and chip-timing. We had about 50 racers out this evening: 12 in C, about 15 in B, and 22 in A. That last number surprised me. The A's not only showed up in large numbers but raced like it was mid-season. The A and B races were 'photo-finishes'. A in particular - the second place finisher passed the winner over the width of the start-finish line (i.e,., 10 cm too late)! A great start to the race season.

Thanks also to the club. We made some $$ this evening, but the club covers the cost of these events whether or not they make a profit.

If you were on the fence, but decided against racing today, you've got two weeks (before the next Speedway race) to jump off the fence. There are lots of other VCL races come up as well. I will post a full schedule here ASAP.

Did you notice anyone taking photos or video? I can set up a gallery lickety-split.

It looks like Dave D took one (see Strava) and I think Garth said that Shannon B was taking photos of the C race.

Already posted: a cool rear-facing video from 3rd place in the B race; exciting finish from the pack!
