3 Ferry Solstice Ride - Sunday June 20

The Beacon Hill stop sign has put a kink in the silly summer solstice ride, so we are replacing it with the annual 3 ferries ride this year.

Like everything this past year, plans are flexible due to Covid, but our expectation will be that by June 15 it will be okay to have a max of 50 people gather outside. Depending on the amount of interest, we may need to have some groups ride clock-wise and some counter-clock-wise. We will make that final decision when we see where our numbers are at. For now the details below reflect everyone going to SSI together.

There will be the usual Spond sign up (available soon with slowest groups leaving first) and we will roll out in staggered groups from Cook St Starbucks at 7:00. We will then catch the 9:00 ferry to Salt Spring. Please make sure you have a mask for the ferry. We ask that each Spond leader purchase the ferry tickets for their entire group and the club will reimburse them.

This ride will be like the "olden" days and will not be supported. Typically people stop in Ganges for a bit to eat and a coffee before rolling on to the Vesuvius ferry. Please bring any other snacks that you need for the day. The Vesuvius ferry is at 12:05 and the Mill Bay sailings are at 3:00 (or 4:10 if you miss that one)

Please add your name if you are interested in joining so we can get an idea of the amount of interest for the ride and how many Spond groups to set up.
