Ride Leaders needed

Hey folks,
Tripleshot has traditionally operated without formal ride leaders--instead relying on a more grassroots approach with everyone expected to do their part to make sure rides are safe and go smoothly.
"Return to Play" will require a slightly more formal approach, for the simple reason that each group of ~6 will be required to report attendance after each ride. How exactly this will work is yet to be determined, but attendance will probably be reported through an app. The purpose of taking attendance will be to facilitate contact tracing, should someone in the club test positive or be exposed to covid.
This means each group will need a designated Ride Leader who takes attendance. While they would also be expected to help the group follow the new Cycling BC covid guidelines, that would be a responsibility shared with everyone in the group.
If you're planning to participate in Tripleshot Rides when we "return to play", and you're willing to take attendance, could you please copy/paste/add your name to the list below my signature? On any given day, you'd only have to take attendance for the small group of people you do a Tripleshot ride with. We'll need people in this role whether they plan to ride with a fixed "pod" or plan to vary the people they're riding with. And just because you serve as a ride leader on one ride, doesn't necessarily mean you'd be the ride leader on every ride.
There's a pretty good chance we'll get news on "return to play" this week.
Cheers!
Martin
