Funding Challenge: Rapid Relief Fund

Hello Fellow Tripleshot Members

Lets see how much money we can raise for Capital Region families impacted by this crisis.

The Rapid Relief Fund (Victoria Foundation, Jawl Foundation and Times Colonist) are behind this. Money will flow to families almost immediately.

https://victoriafoundation.bc.ca/rapid-relief-fund/

Caroline and I donated $500 this morning and we encourage you to donate what you can. The great thing is that its being matched so its really a $1000 total. That can buy a lot of groceries (Mustard Seed is a recipient).

Any amount is great. If you want to donate and not state the amount you can pm me and I will keep the tally.

Maybe we can challenge another club--Wheelers?

Thanks
Ritchie

Thank you Andrew and Kristen!

That’s $2000 from TSers so far folks—and matched for $4000!!!

Let’s keep it going, donations (up to $355K) made by this Sunday will be matched by local entrepreneurs.

Thank you Andrew and all TS frontliners tackling this health problem everyday.

Thanks for starting this thread Ritchie! What a great initiative. We can’t match you at this time, but we will contribute for sure!

And if you are like us and you have accumulated more outdoor gear over the years than you can use and you have extra sleeping bags, tents, sleeping pads now a great time to donate. Our Place and the Dandelion Society are looking for donations, in an effort to help people without homes be able to practice some social distancing!

Thank you, Paula!

No need to match anyone—any amount helps our neighbours in need!

And yes I will look and take down at least one sleeping bag to Our Place.

We are up to $2540! That is over $5000 all in. The Rapid Relief Fund met its initial goal of one million then two.

Maybe we can get creative and see what we have--bike related--that we can sell and continue to donate?

Cheers
Ritchie
