Mostly nonsense. Also riding bicycles inappropriate for off road terrain, off road; GIFs

Hey Ron, this ride is shaping up to be a biblical one. Thank you for organizing it.

I'm still 50/50 as I'm hoping to be hungover that morning. If I'm unsuccessful at that endeavour I'll be waiting for you at the Switch Bridge at 7:20 am on Saturday, March 14.

Andy's suggestion of the Six Mile Pub resonates strongly with me. As their website notes "Weary travelers have stopped at the pub for more than a century to rest and quench a thirst before going on their way". I say no more.

Let’s keep it Saturday. That way we can still do a Sunday 7.30 gravel ride.

Looks like the weather forecast is dry but cold. Brrrr, let's hope it warms up a bit but regardless I think this ride is a go!!

Bring lots of food to sustain yourself (bonk free riding pls!), snacks to share, a cup, and whatever else you need for your tea/coffee. Rob will bring the stove, coffee maker, and decaffeinated grounds. I'll bring caffeinated grounds and L3 will pack tea bags. For planning purposes, there are about 9 of us.

Treats. Don’t forget treats.

Who is bringing the frothy milk? Somebody has gotta have one of those little battery operated spinner things?

Just in case you didn't get the memo, I'll be having my coffee on the drive to Bowser while you're all riding this weekend. Have fun!

A reminder that in order to enjoy some camp coffee you’ll need to bring a vessel of some sort.

I’ll be packing both a stove-top espresso and a French press. The latter both for coffee and frothed milk. I have decaf and Ron said he’s bringing a couple pounds of high-grade stuff so we have everyone covered. Let’s hope the Wx is good so we can enjoy the lakeside view.

Now I just have to figure out how to fit my 2-burner Coleman stove on my bike and where to put the propane tank...

Just checking that planning for SB pick up at 720 is good?

Ok Ron. Since it is going to be so cold, should I aim for 730 instead. Or split the difference and be there for 725.....Any other SBers?

@Damian - we haven't met, but if you know what you are getting into, come on out! It'll be a pretty straightforward plod along the goose for a while until we hit some funner trails. If you decide it isn't your thing you can always turn back without getting lost.

@L3 - Farhang says he'll be there and I expect JT too (unless he ditches us to wash his hair again), but I''m sure there will be many more. 7:25 seems reasonable. But again, getting a large group rolling always takes little more time...
