Usual run up and back down the Shelbourne corridor. While maximizing our time in the forest, we will discourage jumping...

I'm in.
And for the sake of those poor suckers who have turned off their gif features, I'm going to post a really gross gif.
Sorry for you suckers.

Since my self-imposed giphy banishment, I've been feeling sad, lonely and reflective.

Even worse, I'll have to miss tomorrow's ride 'cause my crossbike has no brake pads,

Please try and enjoy yourselves without me.

Let us know how your wrist/hand/fingers are doing, L3. REALLY hope it doesn’t keep you off the bike for any significant period.

A few root-falls this morning. It was super greasy out there, and the 3° cold didn’t help with dexterity.

Thanks for the concern and the fun ride on Weds. I did spend a few hours in emerg on Weds night (should have gone in the morning; the wait probably would have been less) and got an x-ray. Lucky for me no fractures and no instability - just a blunt impact trauma to that big muscle that joins your thumb to your hand. The doc predicted rapid improvement over the next 72 hours and I am actually pretty amazed at how quickly movement and tolerance of pressure is coming back. The body's powers of healing are pretty amazing. It's still pretty ugly but I think I might be able to shorten her estimate of 1 week til back on the bike. Whew!
