Jan 19 - Post Snow Ride

Yikes, it's almost 2:30 and no ride posted!! I'm up for a really good ride; an empty the tanks sort of thing. I propose a double skirt with gnar (8/10 on the gnarly scale?) ride if there is any interest. Probably not everyone's cup of tea. I can be talked out of it if the trails are still frozen and the weather is too wet (weather forecast is inconclusive).

7:30 departure from Fairbucks.

Ron, I could strangle you about now,
That route just about killed us all last time, but I still wanna find that cave. Let's see what other deviants say, but at this point I plan on being at Finlayson and Cedar Hill at 7:45 am.
May I propose the Boom and Batten Cafe for breakfast. Lille spensve, but the kids are going to get it anyways. Here's the
menu.

Almost killed us JT. This route comes with more gnar and more climbing. Full death route!
We may end up more filthy than the typical clientele of B&B, but I'll give it a go.

Tempting offer since you're buying, JT. Unfortunately, I have a prior engagement for dim sum on Sunday and wouldn't like to unbalance my chi with any unnecessary physical exertion (or coronary) beforehand. Have fun! I look forward to reading the war stories on strava. Hopefully from the trail, not from the hostess at B&B!

Did you say Cave or Cage? Regardless, I'll be there at Starshmucks to start this adventure but if you make us climb that Skirt Hill one more time, Ron, I'll help John choke you..

Riding will be a game-time decision for me in the morn. But if I make it out, I'll be cheering on Ace and JT as the choking ensues, Ron.
Far from the gnar, Bear Mountain up and over is roadie training nonsense. Maybe we should just break out the slicks and stick our noses up each other's bums?

I will join you and the other tired knobs Ron, probably at Cedar Hill and Finlayson to allow for an extra long sleep in..

You guys have Skirt Mountain all wrong. Its brilliant AND gravel! Take that Obs Hill! But it is not gnar. That's what a reverse traversal of Millhouse is for...

I'm (maybe) switching to the road.

I'm back in for the tasty bits with a pre-skirt bail at Phelps for my steamed chicken knees. Cedar Hill/Finlayson at 0745. Raincheque on breakfast JT?

Likely in at the sleep-in spot, too. But I'm bailing if the slush and impassible puddles start to make me grumpy.

Be it a warning to all of you. We told Ron, don’t f*ck with the Beaky Plinders, and he did.
