Check out this morning's temperature record from the weather station at Quadra Elementary:
Just a reminder that we're getting into that time of year where the coldest temperatures often occur nearly an hour after sunrise (i.e. when we're heading home after coffee). This morning was fine - although quite cold, the dew point was about -6C, so there was no risk of black ice. But definitely something to bear in mind on mornings when the temperature and dew point are both near zero, and especially if the humidity is high.

I found this article re. frost/ dew formation. Explains why the Selkirk trestle is frosty on the way home from the ride but not the paved Lochside trail.
