Nov 27- Wednesday farmers cross
Any crossers heading out? I'm cleared for Wednesday's but don't think I have ever been on a FarmCross ride before, so I'm keen to follow.

Ron, I plan on showing up with knobs. It is supposed to be a dark and stormy morning, so maybe we can shoulder our bikes and run on the beach while marveling at the surf. Hmm, maybe this is why I am a follower.
Re: Nov 27- Wednesday farmers cross
At least you're not a knob.
I'll see you there and am happy to bring my usual "lead from the middle" approach to things.
Ron; goes like any other ride except coffee is at cook village.
Re: Nov 27- Wednesday farmers cross
Are you guys likely to follow the traditional farmcross protocol and come up shelbourne with the farm road ride?
Re: Nov 27- Wednesday farmers cross
See! I knew there was something established about this ride. Yes is the answer.

Tuesday nights suck because I have to read these posts with the knowledge that I can't ride most Wednesday mornings.
Re: Nov 27- Wednesday farmers cross
I’m in for some FC fun! I‘ve gone three long weeks without.
And if it means you can join us, Louise, we’ll follow the Shelbourne Protocol—at least until we find you.
The kooky winds can make beaches extra salty, wet, sandy fun with crashing waves etc. But storm surge can also reduce ride-ability.
Forest offers good shelter from direct wind, but then blowdown from the first good blow of the season can be a problem—not to mention the danger of active tree-fall.
So: shall we just stay spontaneous and go whichever way the wind blows?

If you wanna ride up to Arbutus Cove/Hollydene right about now you should be good for a low tide. Tmrw morning, not so much. (I think that is the beach you meant?)
I will plan to be out but it will be dependent on the health of my household. If sick-ish hubby doesn't get up to get kid 1 to early morning choir, then I won't be out.
See you hopefully on Shelbourne around 620, per protocol.

I will meet you along Shelbourne too!

Sorry I missed it you guys! I was up half the night with a freaked out kid and a power outage and it was the later half so pretty hard to get up when you have just fallen asleep
