Tripleshot Cycling

Hi All,

So last Thursday when we came past the sub towards the bookstore we had a bus pull out into ring road and then put on its hazards and pull into both lanes in front of us and slow down.
Not sure if there was a dangerous situation he was trying to divert us from or maybe some deer, or...
Is this a scenario we should be anticipating?
I'm trying hard to get back into my road cycling after two "vehicle encounters" and unexpected behaviour like this makes it really hard...
