If you’ve been enjoying the Hector Connector trail, here’s your chance to show it some love. Daniel Cammiade form Nature Trails society was there yesterday and says the blackberries are starting to encroach, and the tread needs some maintenance.

So, he, me and Craig Smith so far are heading there at 8:00 Saturday. Planning to work until 11 or so and then a swim at Prospect lake. (Nothing better than getting really hot and dusty on a warm day and then plunging into a cool clear lake.). Maybe lunch at Cafe Mosi after? Dogs welcome. Bring favourite secateurs, bill hook or Macleod. Or use the ones provided. Lighter or heavier task options available. (Ie pick axe water bars or prune and rake.)

Bring hat, sunscreen and water (lots).

I'll join you, Lister. Maybe if I show this trail some love it'll be nicer to me.

We got it done! Big thanks to Daniel, Craig, Todd, and of course Raven and Pazza for support and patrol.

Heres’s ts youth parent Craig with a long reach for blackberries, and Todd posing with the water lilies after. Cafe Mosi coffee and snack was almost as good as the swim.
