Tripleshot Cycling

After the cancellation of the summer solstice ride are you feeling a need to ride something else silly? If so, you could join Mike Skinner and I on Tuesday for a counter clockwise Big Loop ride. Only one lap. Leaving around six. Back for supper.

Have fun. I did the same ride (solo) on 1 June of this year, and enjoyed it so much, I'm planning on doing it again (weather permitting) in mid July. And then again at the end of July on the annual Tripleshot Big Loop 'epic'.

Do you have a day for mid July?

Mike had another commitment today. I would still like to go counterclockwise another day.

Either Saturday 13 July (this will be following a two break from riding the bike) or Saturday 20 July.

The 13th is looking the most likely date, with the 20th as a back up just in case the weather conditions are unfavourable.

The plan is:

6:00am on the road

Victoria - Malahat – Duncan - Cowichan Lake 100k: refuel stop

Cowichan Lake – Port Renfrew: 65k: refuel stop

Port Renfrew - Jordan River – Shirley Delicious Café: 55km: refuel stop

Shirley Delicious – Victoria: 70km: will add a few more kms onto the ride to reach 305km or 321km (200 miles)

Arrive back home at whatever o'clock

Jul 13 is the seattle to portland ride. If I can talk my wife into it, I could do Jul 20... Its probably best to not plan around my participation but I may be able to make that work.

okay, enjoy Seattle - Portland on 13 July.

Just so's we're all clear....this thread is NOT about the official 7th Annual Tripleshot "Big Loop Ride". The club's official version does the Big Loop in a clockwise direction, with at least 1-2 support vehicles that provide food, water, spare tubes, tools, hugs, etc. This year it will run on Sunday, July 28, 2019.

Presumably a separate Forum thread about the official TSC Big Loop Ride will be started soon.

Yes, with the 20th as a backup date. The plan is to ride the Big Loop counter clockwise for the second time this year. And then clockwise on the official Trippleshot ride at the end of July.

I'm out of town From the 8th to the 15th. From the mention of Saturday rides I'm guessing that some folks are still working Monday to Friday...
I'm interested in the 20th. Could be fun with a gang of four or so.
