Hi All
As a club, we have been involved in marshalling for the Dallas Road Time trail as part of the Cameron Law/Victoria Bike Race for at least 5 years.
Again for this year, the Canadian Masters Championship is part of this event and we need volunteers to set up, take down, and be marshals on the course.
The details and map are on the Victoria Bike Race website.
Can you please put your names down below if you can volunteer please?
Many thanks
Neil

My favourite race! I notice we'll be back on Dallas Road with a Clover Point start/finish, but that riders this year will be doing
three laps of the 5K course, instead of just one.
We'll get to see each rider six times, which is great! But it also means three times the number of hairpin turns, a whole lot more riders on the road at once, and a lot more passing. Marshalling will be more intense, but also more rewarding.
Musings from past years:
Rolf wrote:If you're on the fence about whether you want to donate your Friday night to this event, here's a cheezy edit I made [eight!] years ago when Ryder Hesjedal [and Adam de Vos] competed:

Set-up and breakdown are fun, team activities. And marshalling gives you the best seat in the house to watch some inspiring and crazy-fast cyclists zoom by.
We're a big part of keeping the roads closed and safe. It's a hoot to feel like the whole waterfront stretch between the cemetery and Mile Zero—that we ride all the time and know so well—is in the exclusive possession and care of Tripleshot.

Yup, six 180° turns. Should be fun, at speed, on a TT bike.
I'll be wrenching before the race, but will help with tear-down.
