Tripleshot Cycling

Sunday, May 26 is the Tripleshot third annual
Three Ferries Ride.

This is a long time Island bicycling tradition. It is like an all day Holiday with as much time off your bike as on it.


6.30. Starbucks Cook st. coffee, trip information
7.00 leave Cook Street Village. Goose and traditional way to Sidney and the Ferry.

9.00 ferry leaves for Salt Spring
9.40 Arrives Fulford S.S.I.
Ride via quiet, back roads to Ganges.
10.30 Arrive Ganges . Salt Spring Inn brunch.
11.45 leave for Vesuvias ferry.
12.20 leave Vesuvias
12.45 arrive and leave Crofton

2.15 arrive Mill Bay Village plaza. Buy ferry tickets at Thriftys and save . Have ice cream and coffee.
2.30 leave Mill Bay. 15 minute ride to ferry.
3.00 (or if necessary 4.10) leave Mill Bay.
3.25 ( or 4.35) Arrive Brentwood Bay. Ride home via Tripleshot Sunday route. Interurban sprint optional!
5.00 or 6.15 arrive home.

Approximate total distance: 135km

If 15 or more people go we will have 2 groups.

Tripleshot rules of the road and group riding etiquette will be followed. This is definatly a
NO DROP RIDE.

A shorter option is to drive to between Swartz Bay and Brentwood Bay and ride to Swartz Bay ferry.
This cuts out sbout 20km.

3 FERRIES UPDATE

The 3 Ferries ride is this Sunday May 26,
Leaving COOK STREET VILLAGE Starbucks
at 7a.m.
In case someone is late or wants to meet us at the ferry we will be leaving Swartz Bay at 9a.m.

Mark Ford will be posting the route here soon.
There are a couple of places where I don't know the name of the roads.....and I dont have a Garmin .

If you have a Garmin could you download (or is it upload?) the route and assist in Navigating. Thanks

I have reserved space for brunch at
The Salt Spring Inn for 15 people. It is in Ganges across from Thriftys on the main road.
They can accomodate more of us if necessary.

It is going to be hot . Two bottles of water would be wise.
If anyone else wants to join us , just add your name to the list.

I'll meet you guys in Ganges, but I'll be coming from the north, from Foetus Island via Chemainus, Crofton and Vesuvius.
So for me, It'll be a four ferries ride, one more ferry than you three ferry dudes.
Unless some of you want to ride early, and meet me in Chemainus, then we can backtrack together.
If I get lost or misjudge the ferry connections expect me to be texting some of you, giffing madly (Jill, John, Tim or Dolly, keep an eye on your phones).
