Tomorrow Morning (Fri) Skills Coaching
Posted: Thu Mar 14, 2019 3:52 pm
Hi folks,
We're trying something new this year and bringing a Youth Team coach out to ride with the adults and give some skills tips. The idea is to give some feedback in the middle of a normal ride where people are just doing what they normally do including making some mistakes. And it gets lots of people some advice without the formality of signing up for a proper skills clinic (we'll do one of those in May).
Please welcome Matt Patriquin who will come out and coach one of the rides for the next three Fridays. Since the focus will be on good technique, rather than going fast, he'll coach a group that goes at a C pace. People of all speeds are welcome to join his group. Consider it an opportunity to do the C-ride with a crowd and get some friendly free advice.
If you normally ride C/B3 and want a slow ride without advice, Matt will let you opt out. But remember that those of us least keen to get advice are often the ones who most need it. If I were currently able to ride, I'd be doing this ride, as I know I always have more to learn.
Come join in. If you can't make tomorrow, we'll have a coach (or two) out on the following 2 Fridays as well. It would probably be good to arrive close to 6 to help Matt figure out who's in his group and who isn't.
Ciao!
Martin
