Not really a surprise, as he's one of the strongest on the men's team pursuit team, but nice to see anyway. Go Jay!

Anyone want to find a big screen with coffee or beer when they stream his races?

Schedule is here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_UCI_ ... s#Schedule

By my calculations (please check), qualifying starts at 5:00 am, Wednesday the 27th (1300h local time). So that sounds like a bit early to leave the home internet, even for TS.

Second round is Wednesday also, 1600h local time, 10 am our time. Anyone want to find a big screen to watch where they have decent coffee?

Final is 1830h local time the next day, Thursday. 10:30 am our time.

Anyone know a good cafe with a big screen? Oak Bay rec would be open for the 10 am rides, not sure how good their coffee is.

Good rides for both Canadian teams at worlds, with both likely to win the next rides to move into the medal rounds.

http://www.canadiancyclist.com/dailynew ... -1-results

Both qualified 5th, which means they ride against 8th place qualifiers in round two.

The women look a bit safer, qualifying 5.5 seconds faster than 8th place Belgium they meet next. The men are in a little tighter battle to move on, up against 8th place Poland who were 1.5 seconds slower. They'll need lots of home vibes in the next round!

The second round is right about now! Cant find a feed though. :(

They beat Poland! Third best time in the round, through to bronze medal final against Norway! I think it’s the first time ever for a Canadian men’s team. I guess the women showed the way. :).

Go JayLam!

Analysis interesting. Canada rode second to Poland until second half. Nice control and come back! 6 second win!

Coverage is available on Flobikes.com for $30 a month. I signed up to watch tomorrow’s final, so if anyone wants to come by around 11:00 or 11:30 to watch, I’ll try to connect my tv to the feed.

Jays racing at about 10:20. In qualifying they were 1 s slower than Denmark who they meet in the bronze match. In the next round they were 1 sec faster than Denmark. Gonna be close. Send em all the vibes you can.

Canada went for it, starting fast and leading for the first three laps, but Denmark caught up and went away to win. Still, solid ride, no mistakes, step by step they are getting there. First ever 4th place in world championships.

Perspective on Jay's teams ride: last year they were 8th at the worlds. What could happen for next year in Tokyo?

Canadian women also fourth. A bit disappointing for them, they were three seconds slower in their medal round than in the second ride.

I guess they need Sarah Van Dam to move up from the nexgen program, and give them a boost ;).
