• Pace: steady, no-drop, and wide-eyed.
• Costume: less TSC—more Farmer or Hallowe'en, please.
• Gear: good lights, wide(r) tires, fender(s) entirely optional.
• Route: Farm warm-up to Feltham; Lochside to Broadmead; then a southward route featuring a minimum of 10 new-to-me trails or connectors to get us to Farm coffee (7:30 at Cook St.)

I can't promise we won't at some point get lost or wet—but I can promise it will be fun.

I can't make it tomorrow, but if you haven't already done this, you should plan to go to the right after returning to town via the Selkirk trestle (immediately after the trestle) and then stay to the right and explore over there a bit. There's a dock that you can ride down to and onto if you are careful.

And Ann that is hilarious! I’m still firmly entrenched in my text-based universe. You might even call me a gifirgin.

Ann: Banfield Park is super pretty this time of year and full of fun, wet leaves. I'll have to (carefully) check out the dock one of these days. I like Gorge Park a lot, which is quite similar. In my perfect world, the Gorge would have waterfront paths along its entire perimeter.

Thank you, Mr. Tyre. I was just about to point out that Alan clearly hasn't been paying attention. Alan, do I need to provide links to all my other posts that have gifs or would you like to take it on as a self-directed project?

Well, that was different! About four new kms of cut-throughs and trail.

We started with ten, but attrition set in early—only (a mostly costumed) five made coffee. I fear the ride was too slow and exploratory for those looking for a proper workout, and too fast and technical for those with fractures or other injuries. Hopefully those of you in-betweeners had as much fun as I did.

So you know: there is some method behind this madness. Thanks to Lister's fabulous work with on the Fondo, he may have some opportunities to potentially influence Saanich's trail-building or even park-acquisition priorities. So if any of you other map/ROW-sniffing geeks have ideas, let's hear 'em!

p.s. Ann's gif-game has been great for yonks. I'd put her average quality score on my entirely subjective GIF-o-meter somewhere between JT and Greg.
