This morning I verified that my Barrier Wind Jacket which is "constructed with our Windproof and Water Resistant AGRAVIC fabric to keep you dry and comfortable" behaves exactly the same as Rolf's Sidewinder jacket at half the price. Having said that, water beaded up on one of my sleeves for about 20 minutes but after 20 minutes both sleeves and the rest of the jacket were as porous to the wind and rain as my summer jersey. I am back to the old Champion shell in the rain. Of course, I get wet from inside but it keeps the wind out and me warm.
