I would appreciate any expert views on exercising during this spell of being labeled with some of the worst air quality in the world. An air quality health index released by the B.C. government rated conditions as 10-plus, or at very high risk. Will this warning have an effect on whether TS's ride or not. Cheers.

Worried about riding in this smoke too. I may just spin indoors on bad days.

Winds are supposed to shift between tomorrow and Weds so air quality here should improve.
That being said, I plan on riding (albeit not as hard).

As an asthmatic, I'm not riding in anything above 7. I would not recommend anyone go out when it's 9 or 10.
I'm hiding inside. If your furnace has a fan setting, run it. The air in the house will circulate through your furnace filter. Also, when was the last time you replaced that filter? We have a portable fan with a hepa filter built in. I'm placing it in the main living space during the day, and in our bedroom at night.
If only we had an indoor velodrome in Victoria!

Here is some bed-time reading re. smoke and health effects. I see the Apple triathlon was cancelled over the weekend due to smoke.
