Long shot here. Two Tripleshotters Isla Walker and Alen Fazlagic are going to the biggest u17 stage race in Canada (maybe north america) in Quebec, La Tour de la Releve in Rimouski, and the gear restrictions are different than in BC.
They need to have 50 x 15, vs 52 x 14 here. So, not only is the gear lower, the option of blocking 2 gears to 52 by 16 will leave them under-geared in a race where they're already going to be spinning at a much higher rate. One veteran said "You could smell the chamois frying." during the fast bits.
Another option is to borrow the chainrings for their current cranks, both ultegra, one five bolt and the other 4 bolt.
