Anyone interested in TTT'n at the Sidney Velo event on June 17th?
There's also an ITT. But it'd be more fun to work together.

I'll go up and have got room for one other in my car.

Here's the notice from Larry Pommen, Organizer ....

Hi, time trial riders. Sidney Velo is partnering with the BC Masters Cycling Association to stage a 40-km time trial in the beautiful Cowichan Valley on Sunday, June 17th for individuals and teams. It is a BC Masters points event, but is also open to all ages and all categories of paracyclists. $300 in cash prizes will be awarded.

The details are here: http://sidneyvelo.ca/time-trial-details-2/.

Joe: I'm a "possible maybe". Do you need more of a commitment than that?

Andrew

P.S. I will talk to you for details

This turned out to be a pretty neat little event! Ann, Heather, Amy and I threw together a team and braved the Cowichan Valley heat. It was cool to see that almost half the riders were women! It's a reasonably challenging course for a team but we rode really well together using a limited but effective range of words (Yup!) to keep together and adjusting our pulls as legs felt good and less good. My personal takeaway: Don't let fear of sunstroke lead you to scrap a proper warm up. It would be fun to go with a larger contingent next time!
