anyone interested in riding in a smaller group this winter?

Post by Paula »

I am feeling more cautious these days with the number of deer on the road (this morning there were at least 3 right on the road) and getting older and wiser (or maybe just because I am still feeling the aches from a crash 2 years ago). Although riding in big groups is fun and faster, I would feel safer riding in the winter in a smaller group.

Is there anyone else who would prefer to ride with a smaller group (no more than 12?)

Hi Paula;

Welcome to the C-ride....the only TSC group that gets LARGER during the winter. Last winter we were often 8-12 riders, many of whom normally ride B in the summer but who prefer the less frenetic pace of the C-ride on the dark slippery roads of winter.

The problem with relying on a. C ride is that certain slackers do not show up or show up late and join Oversized B groups and one ends up doing a ‘group ride’ on their own.

So - where are the smart Bs that want to ride in a smaller group in winter and where are the Cs?

That could be a song. Alan,can your fiddle group work On that.
