AEDs in Victoria

Post by Gerry L »

When I was riding a Fondo event in Sweden 2 years ago I passed a fellow rider who was down with a cardiac arrest. EMTs were already there with paddles etc. and on checking the news the next day there was no mention of the event so he hopefully made it.
On our rides it is possible to come across someone in a cardiac arrest. After calling 911 it may be possible to help before the ambulance arrives if you can find an AED. Every minute counts.
AEDs are automatics defibrillators with voice prompts that can walk a lay person through what needs to be done. They are scattered around the city and could be close by.
Here is a list of locations:

Especially given our demographic profile.

Seriously though, this is a great resource and one worth bookmarking on our phones.
