The last leg of Peace to Parliament ride is on Vancouver Island this Saturday, June 24th leaving the Doghouse restaurant in Duncan at 7am. As this is a brevet, riders have to join the Randonneur Cycling club - which is really easy to do at the start and only costs $10. The event fee is $15.
There will be a manned control/checkpoint in Port Renfrew at the Coastal Cafe + there will opportunity to grab a snack and water at the "summit" of the Pacific Marine road.
Here is the route:

Note that the Tall Tree festival is on that weekend in Port Renfrew, so extra caution will be needed along the route due to traffic and pedestrians.
The Peace to Parliament riders started in Fort St John on June 18 and cycled 300k to Mackenzie Junction. On June 19th, they rode 400k to Williams Lake. The 600k starts tomorrow finishing in Tsawwasssen. Then they come to the Island.
Please come out to ride with Mikael Jansson and company on the final leg of the P2P ride.
