Coffee Count at Pareto?

As one of the riders hanging off the back of the pack (or sometimes not at all!), I'm wondering if before we leave Pareto, it might be a good idea to do a quick check in for any riders leaving the pack early, not coming for coffee, etc? We've had some double flats riding this week, and this might be a good way to know whether someone has just gone home early or has dropped off unintentionally and needs assistance. I know for myself this week I skipped coffee on Tuesday (sometimes I'm a quitter...) and tried to let at least one rider in the pack know (thanks Rolf!) before I fell off the back on the post King George sprint so that nobody might wonder where I had disappeared to & come looking for me. Sometimes it's tough to communicate once you're in the process of getting dropped and the pack just seems to steadily pull away from you - I find it hard to shout while tyring to not cough up a lung. Doing a "coffee count" while hanging around in the parking lot before the ride might help coordinate future search & rescue efforts, and give us a better idea of how much caffeine to order at Moka House!
Just a thought, Jen

Good idea Jen. It is kind of hard to know what has happened to everyone after the speed picks up and it lines out.
Hey, maybe we could even call in the count so they have them ready for when we arrive?

I have been in the habit of shouting out " order me a double latte!!" at the bottom of King George Terrace, as I know I will be dropped. One consolation of being at the end of the pack is never having to buy coffee!!

Hey in a related topic, who did I end up grabbing a tube off of, I was kinda focused on being frustrated at my wheel. Let me know I'd like to give you a new tube to replace it.

Hey Jeremy,
I have to say that was some pretty rotten luck double flatting over the last 6km. I can only imagine the fear of god you put in the neighbors, cursing and swearing on the side of the street.
That was my tube but no worries - the flat gods shine on those who offer up a tube to those in need. Remind me to tell you my double flat story next ride.
