Mike Lawless backed out of his 10:15 slot because he had to go bike shopping on Saturday morning, so I am filling in for him at that time. Which is to say, there is now my old time slot, at 3:15 now open for the first taker. Send Pete Lawless an email and I am sure he can schedule you in. Cheers, Alan

its gone - Dolly is the lucky winner of the 3:15 slot
. I think Mike felt doing the test after having my results would just be redundant!

So Peter, how many watts?

I managed 390 watts for 3 minutes and that was all she wrote. I think with a bit of rest or at a peak I might (heavy emphasis on the might) be able to get through one more stage (so 420 watts). Anyone else have a good experience?
I think it was a good exercize/experience and I was very happy to have Houshang comment on my ability to push through the pain at the end. I dont remember exactly what he said (as I couldnt focus on anything at the time!) but it was something about the gross number for the lactate I was producing being one of the biggest numbers he has seen. I tried to get him to tell Alan that he wished he had met me at 19 not 39 but that didnt happen - except in my head where I could have been a cotender!
Then for a cool down I did 30 minutes of easy spinning and then 3 Observatory repeats around 8:30 each. I dont fear hills - the hills fear me!

That's great Pete. That's an awesome score. I helped test Steve Bauer in the MacMaster lab in 1980 or 81, and he ended the test not that much above that, I think 450?
I nominate you for the King George to Beacon Hill leadout.
PS Ya got any watts you can spare?

and so the pissing contest begins..........
Pete thanks so much for organizing the testing sessions. I hope to meet later today with Hashang (?sp) to review my pedantic few hundred and change. Apparently I have a distinctly non-anaerobic profile, no surprize there.
