NTS cheque presentation 3.jpg
Wednesday night at the SOUTH ISLAND MOUNTAIN BIKE SOCIETY (SIMBS) AGM, Tripleshot youth riders Isla Walker and Connor Bosenburg presented the SOUTH VANCOUVER ISLAND Nature Trail Society's Daniel Cammiade with a cheque for $1650, a share of the proceeds of the TRIPLESHOT cross fondo.

The Cross Fondo made the SVINTS a beneficiary of the event because their mandate of "connecting trails systems", which closely matches the youth team needs for safe places out of traffic to train, and the Fondo's need for great trails to bring people together for the celebration of fitness and exploring that is our event. SIMBS and SVINTS are also important representatives of the trail user community that influence authorities decisions on park use and trail access.

This was only possible because of the work of the TS members who volunteered and rode. Committee members include Kim Walker, David Attwell, David Garrison, Deidre Matheson, Joanna Fox, Lori Swanstrom, Ritchie Hughes, Matt Patriquin, Bryson Bowers, Lisa Paquin, and Anne Frankenberger. Many more volunteered, and yet more rode and contributed through their registration fee. Thanks all!

Was there a press release alone or jointly with Trails Society? could still be done as not time sensitive

but very much a good news story for the local papers
