Icy roads...

Are the roads too slippery? Last week was fine, the humidity was low, and the roads dry. I'd like to go out tomorrow, but balking at the idea of frosty roads. Anyone ride this morning (Monday)? Otherwise, I'll bunker down with my books tonight, and do a long commute instead.
Cheers

I did not but talked to someone who did and said they were very slippery. See
http://www.victoriaweather.ca for an explanation of todays slippery roads. It is supposed to be cold tomorrow morning as well, but am unsure of the exact meteorological conditions forecasted for the morning.

The roads on the drive to school were incredibly icy this morning about 8:15. Anecdotally I spoke with one guy who rode in from Saanich to work in town and crashed a bunch of times on the ice. Likely gonna be pretty slick again tomorrow.

Thanks! I obsessively check figbug.com/weather in the morning, but this week's temperature vs. dew point proximity is a bit worrying. I am ready to get out and ride off this pre-and-post Christmas slothiness, but not having much luck.

Ditto what Geoff and Tim said. I slid around a corner this morning (in my car) and upon arriving at work learned that one of my students had crashed on his way in, and others reported witnessing cyclists crashing and climbing onto buses during the morning commute.
I just drove home from a meeting (around 830 pm) and the roads are looking slick again. I'd play it safe. The moisture is definitely back.

Thanks for the responses...I'll run to work for a few days. Hopefully, see you all out there, soon.
