Tripleshot Cycling

Erin is racing junior world championships tomorrow.

Besides the cool person we all know and love, Erin's also a Tripleshot story. Her dad Dave is one of the original Spin Doctors club that spun off the Tripleshot Club, named for the triple shot americanos the Spin Docs enjoyed after rides (coffee compulsory, cycling optional . And to the this day, Tripleshot rides begin in the parking lot of his office.

Canada 4th in team pursuit qualifying!

"They just beat the Best time for the European championships. It looks like they will be one of the teams to beat."

Results of qualifying. Ahead of track powerhouse nations France, Britain, Russia.

Within striking distance of a medal. First ever for Cdn junior national team.

Qualification rule:
All the teams from the First round dispute the Finals.
The winners of heats 3 and 4 in the First round ride the final for the gold and silver medals.
If in the heats 3 and 4 one team catches the opponent, it will be a pistol shot, the fastest team can stop after that moment. The
slower team has to finish the race to set a time for the finals.
The remaining six teams will be ranked by their times in the First round and will be paired as follows:
The two fastest teams ride the final for the bronze medal.
The next two fastest teams ride the final for 5th and 6th places.
The final two teams ride the final for 7th and 8th places.
The heats will be ridden in the reverse of this order.

Whats races is Erin doing? Apart from the pursuit- obviously:)

All I've heard so far is team pursuit and individual pursuit. Maggie's team pursuit and omnium. Haven't heard who's doing individual pts race, scratch, sprints etc.

Canada made the bronze final, up against France in about 15 minutes.

Canada went faster in the semi, but so did France, about .4 faster than Canada. Gonna be a great final.

Jeff says they're a bit behind schedule. First womens 500, then kieran, then 500 medals, then wtp.

Good omen. Cdn Stefan Ritter won one semi. I saw him at Milton doing repeat jumps onto a box at his shoulder height.

France won, caught the Canadians just before the finish. Erin and Maggie doing monster pulls, but other two girls not quite as strong. Still, 4th is the best ever Canadian junior team pursuit result at junior worlds. Also, Maggie and Erin are first year juniors, so watch out next year. And Jussaume, the reserve rider who rode qualifying and semi.

Next up for Erin, individual pursuit, tomorrow I think.
