Think this could be the image of the Tripleshot cycling club; in age, size, experience, and helping each other out.
Craig Bosenburg rode out to the track to accompany the younger riders from Fairfield back from FastTrack (the youth program there that is a part of our program), when it looked like I might not make it because of a coaching course that went late. (Craig is also running for a CBC board position this month: make sure you vote.)
On the left is Connor, his 13 year old son, and an avid track rider, but also mtbr, roadie (going to provincials this weekend), and cross rider.
The TS youth team rides to and from the track twice a week and enjoys the tutelage of head coach Kurt Innes, Olympian and two time Olympic coach, and also dad and devoted youth coach.

And in the paying it back category: Last night Ethan Pauly paid TS adult (well, sort of 
) Ritchie Hughes back for his help last week. Last week Ritchie was one of those who helped slow the chase while Ethan was off the front solo, and helped with his win.
This week, Ethan went to the front with two laps to go with Ritchie on his wheel and launched him for the sprint. They didn't know it, but fellow TS member and youth team dad Dave Attwell saw the move and, like Cavendish freelancing on leadout trains, jumped on and came by for the win. Nice Ethan, Ritchie and Dave!

TS youth riders benefit from TS club contributions which help pay coaches. If you're looking for a multiplier effect on your investment, look no further: no less than 7 TS youth team members have been coaching the Margeret Jenkins elementary school bike club: Ryan Wakelin, Lockie Fraser, Ethan Pauly, Thomas Hill, Sage Parikh, Taro Laframboise and Jack Boden have coached the entire 7 week season. That was Thomas hill and Ethan Pauly spotting. (yep, same guy who went straight from the Bmx track to western speedway to leadout Ritchie Hughes; Ethan also has to pack in the morning to ride from his home in James Bay, to Reynolds school at mackenzie and Quadra, then change after school and ride to the Bmx track, then to western speedway, then home. )
