skidaroo this morning

Had a little skid-"crash" this morning turning right onto Mt. Doug parkway. Reminder that the pavement and paint are very slippy after the first rain, and why we need to take it easy on corners like the turn onto Cadboro Bay Rd. on Tuesday a.m....
Proud to say that after 10 years, this was my first ever crash on a road bike ('cross crashes don't count), and very grateful that it was just a little skin, a bruised hip, and more laundry for my woman to do (inside joke from the ride). Sorry that I took out Will Corbett, apparently rendering him incapable of riding fast.
Thanks to Eric, Alex, Rob and others who helped with my bike and got to learn what a pain in the axle those Raceblade tabs are... Also thanks to everyone else on the ride for just being awesome and concerned.
Hopefully I don't have another one of these for another 10 years!
Now to get that damn bike into the shop for a badly needed tune-up!
