Kid's cross, Beacon Hill 5:30 to 5:45 Wed, all-weather field
Posted: Tue Oct 20, 2009 3:24 pm
The field is in the south-west corner of the park, near Mile 0.
This location has attracted less objections in the past, so we should be good to go.
But just in case, the plan b is go for a ride along Dallas, perhaps with detours through whatever terrain we can find.
We need 10-15 kids to make it worth it for the organizer. Sign up below if you can.

Hokay,
So we will try this once again this week, attempting to meet up tomorrow night at 5:45 pm for some quality bike practice.
Since we have had some issues of recent with our practices, we will be returning to a classic venue: the "public park or pleasure ground known as Beacon Hill", which, since 1882, has been "set apart and reserved out of the Crown Lands of the Province for the recreation and enjoyment of the public."
So, public, you can only come out if you are willing to recreate and enjoy it. Please meet up no earlier than 5:45pm at the "pleasure ground" known as Beacon Hill Park.
Also, for those interested parents out there, we will be putting on a limited edition kids practice for approx. 10-15 min. starting at 5:30pm.
Double also, don;t want to forget the Cross on the Rock series in case you are looking for some cyclocross racing (and not just practices) on the island. The next race is the Single Speed event at Errington/Fletcher's Farm on Oct 31st. Riders can use geared bikes, just need to lock out the shifting.
