Last year a small group of us did spin classes at Catalyst with Nic Hamilton and Wes Wood on Tues. and Thursday mornings. They were kick ass classes and I know they helped me maintain my cycling fitness throughout the winter and early spring until I got out on the roads again.
I recently met with Wes and he said he’d be happy to teach our group on a private basis. He leads the Wheelers spin classes on Monday and Wednesday nights and everyone raves about the workouts. But we need a minimum of 6 people to commit and it isn’t as cheap as the option Chris W. was talking about in August (this option is not being pursued by the way, I checked with Chris). It would be $15 per class, which I personally think is well worth it and certainly in line with other places (Trek charges $20 per class), and I’m definitely committed to do it again this year.
So, who's in??
Here is a basic outline of the proposed training schedule:
Wesley Wood is back again to lead another successful indoor cycling program! If you want to see better results for next season, now is the time to start building. His progressive training program will focus on building your strength, endurance and efficiency as a rider. Training will be at the Catalyst Waterfront studio, now with new Cycle ops bikes for a smooth ride. The bike computers have speed, cadence and HR capabilities.
Wesley is an experience personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach from Limitless Training. He is the author of Limitless Eating - a nutrition cookbook targeted towards endurance athletes. Wesley coaches many athletes from around Victoria pushing them to their limits. He gives individual attention to each attendee to ensure they maximize their workout while maintaining correct technique. Be ready for a great 60 min workout!!
Training days: Tues / Thurs 0600am
Cost: $15 / session (Once group is established we will confirm training block - example Oct - Feb)
