2015 Ambriss Clermont Memorial Ride - Sunday, September 13th

Hi all...

As I've been announcing at the start of our recent rides, the Ambriss Clermont Memorial Ride will be held on Sunday, September 13th. Registration costs just $25, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Victoria Hospice. For those of you who aren't familiar with the event, I lifted the following from the Russ Hay's website:

"The Ambriss Clermont Memorial Ride is named in memory of Ambriss Clermont, Russ Hay’s co-owner from 1974 to 2012. As a result of the outstanding care and support Ambriss and her family received at Victoria Hospice, Mike Clermont founded this event in memory of his wife and business partner to acknowledge the amazing work Victoria Hospice does for this community."

It would be great to see a big Tripleshot turnout - the Clermont family are huge supporters of the local cycling community and the event supports a truly great cause. As luck would have it, I will be at sea that week and thus unable to do the ride. I still intend to pay the $25 to register, however, and would encourage you to consider doing the same, even if you can't actually take part in the ride.

Great idea.

On the registration site for this ride there is an option to start and captain a team. We are looking for a volunteer to set up the team and put their name down as captain and take the lead for this. Then when we register we can register as part of the Tripleshot Cycling team.

Just a point of clarification - the cost to register/participate in the event is just $25. While participants can also choose create a fundraising page and collect additional sponsorship funds, there is absolutely no requirement to do so. You can just pay your $25 to do the ride and support the cause.

It would be great if Tripleshot could field a large team of participants, preferably sporting the club colours. This is an event that fits well particularly with our club's ethos of inclusivity and community spirit.

Just registered for the Clermont Memorial Ride. Looked for Tripleshot team, didn't see one, came close to creating one (and automatically becoming team captain), wussed out and registered as an individual. OK, someone with more moxie create the team (one click is all it takes). See you at Russ Hay's!
