There should be reference to Time trial bikes or Road?

Looking forward to adding my name to the list somewhere down the bottom sometime- Congrats everyone for last Thursday.

I thought I would celebrate the actual solstice tomorrow by going around in circles for an hour at UVIC. My plan is to start around 5:30 to be done by 6:30 when things get busier....... I'll try to stay out of the way. Anyone else interested? Andrew

P.S. Cool facts: the actual solstice is at 3:07 am Thursday, and in terms of daylight, we will be treated to 8 hours and 4 minutes of extra daylight compared to the winter solstice. No wonder we're cranky riding in the winter!!

Andrew I am eager to join for an early start, but the fact that you posted this under Hour of Power gives me pause...

If you are out there to break records I will content myself with an early meander through the leafy streets of Oak Bay before joining the gang for circles.

I gave it a good dig today. Conditions were quite good although cool with a bit of wind. I started slow and then got a good groove but ran into cramps at about the 28 minute mark and had a rough patch for about 10 minutes but was able to work through it and picked up the pace toward the end.

2. 41.30 km - Andrew N ( June 21/18 )
3. 41.10 km - Trevor Mack (Jul 30/15)
4. 41.00 km - Rich M (Jul 27/17) (tt-bike)
5. 40.90 km - Peter L (Jul 30/15)
6. 38.70 km - Rich M (Jul 30/15) (road bike)
7. 37.00 km - Tony W (Jul 30/15)
8. 36.00 km - Christian B (Jul 30/15)

That was so much fun, if you enjoy suffering by yourself. Thanks to everyone riding this morning for the encouragement and for patience as I went round and round. Chapeau to Andrew Atwell for covering an incredible 42.7km. I would recommend this to anyone on the fence.
