Our homeboy at 5:30 and again at 5:57. Adam was racing - and winning - for Tripleshot way back in 2010.

Nice work, Adam de Vos!
Note above he beat Horner by 3 slim seconds in the GC. Then look a little deeper at the results of Sunday's final stage sprint: Then watch the final 30 seconds of that sprint from the official event feed (fixed cameras, no choppers for U.S. NRC races )
https://youtu.be/NSLbx6Gx5KU?t=5h44m35s
After the winner hits the line at 5:45:00, count off the first 20 finishers. Horner and Adam are in there. It's hard to see how the 4 and 7 second splits worked out. But suffice to say, if Adam hadn't busted his butt to avoid the split just behind him, he wouldn't have earned the right to say he beat the winner of the 2013 Vuelta a España in a stage race.

I messaged AdV to say just that, dude you beat Chris Horner. His reply, and I quote: "I beat 195 guys man. Horner was just one of em."
Tell me he doesn't have bigger goals ahead. So awesome.

Dude has it going on. Super stoked for him...Not to steal his thunder but the kid who came 3rd overall is just that, a kid. 17 y.o.a.

And Horner turns 44 this year.
Find me another sport that features a 26-year spread among top 10 competitors.
(And golf, darts, billiards and bowling don't count!)

Any sport with a high incidence of athlete bankruptcy. Boxing comes to mind. George Foreman, Sugar Ray Robinson.
