Warning of manhole covers removed by vandals on Ash

Got this from another coach in town. Heads up tomorrow morning in case it happens again. And let police know if it does.

"PLEASE SHARE THIS INFO WITH ANY VICTORIA CYCLISTS OR CYCLING GROUPS YOU KNOW. - I RECEIVED THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE FROM A FRIEND TODAY.

"Beware Cyclists! This AM I was taking my daughter to swimming at 5:00am. I noticed a manhole cover on Ash Rd. had been removed and a metal stake was put into the hole with the manhole cover erected 2 feet above ground. A disaster in the making. When I turned my car around I also noticed more square grates missing along Ash Rd. and another manhole cover missing with a white post erected from it. This could have gone very bad for any cyclist. I contacted Saanich Police and they fixed the problem. Be very aware of this section along Ash Rd. Some sick person seems to have it out! This is not the first time I have seen obstacles on this stretch of road!!!!"
