Well, the build continues. Planning on leaving Disco on Disco at 7 AM Sharp! Last week with Steve Lund and Fozzy's help with some strong pulls from Doug we managed just under 28 K/Hr. Doesn't sound that quick but just ask Fozzy what it feels like after we hit 90 to 100 K and still have more than an hour to go! These are great base Ks that will really pay off come spring.

Saturday Feb 6 will be a day off for me; I'll be out of town for a few days. Check with Doug to see what is happening.

Here is the route for Jan 31. Please let me know if you cannot view the map:

Cheers!

Barton.

I'm at 1,997 km for January and tomorrow's my last chance to hit my 2k target. So I'll join you for the first 3 km and then play it by ear after that.

Sylvan, what happened? Well, I hope you slept well!

11 of us thru to Goose and Burnside. 6 to West Saanich. 3 from there, Marcus, Doug S & I. Stephan and Blair went on ahead.

By 105, 110 K I was almost ready to pull the plug but kept saying "Just Finish!". We lost Marcus around this point, a dropped power bar, traffic, lights etc. Sorry Marcus! Doug and I from Royal Oak and Lochside. I am so glad to be resting after this coming Thursday! That was one friggin' tough ride!

Looking forward to 160 Feb 14. Does anyone want to post a route? Something sort of flat? The plan is to keep things kind of flat until early April then start adding some elevation to the distance (140 K one weekend, 160 the next).

Cheers!

Barton.

Here is the Peninsula Wiggly Worm 200km(Ken Bonner - BC randonneurs).
It goes up and down the peninsula and is relatively flat, cut whatever you want to make it 160km
